Catholic Identity: The Christian faith at St. Joan of Arc is integrated into all parts of the learning experience and celebrated in many ways, including:

 

  • Daily Prayer
  • Weekly Religion Classes
  • Monthly School Liturgies
  • Weekly Class Liturgies
  • Advent and Lenten Services
  • Monthly Buddy Day Activities among grades
  • Religious Field Trips, Speakers, and Assemblies

 

Service: Providing service for others is an integral component of Christianity. Each year, students engage in various service projects, such as:

 

  • Hosting a September 11th Remembrance Freedom Walk for Aberdeen Community
  • Collecting donations for parish St. Vincent DePaul food pantry
  • Partnering with a grade school in Ghana
  • Participating in Jump Rope for Heart through the American Heart Association
  • Writing cards and letters to homebound seniors and parishioners
  • Collecting Toys for Tots during the Christmas season
  • Collaborating with JPED (Joint Personal Effects Deposit) at the Aberdeen Proving Ground
  • Facilitating Heifer International Almsgiving Drives
  • Hosting monthly fellowship with parishioners after liturgy
  • Collecting winter gloves and scarves for needy families

 

Academics: Students at St. Joan of Arc are challenge to reach to their highest potential. Academically, St. Joan of Arc students score above grade level in national standardized tests. Upon graduating, the majority of students are accepted into their choice of area Catholic schools, as well as other private schools and the Harford County Math and Science Academy. St. Joan of Arc offers various opportunities for students to support, enrich, and reward their academic experience.
