Dear Parents and Guardians,

Think of Saint Joan of Arc for a moment…the Saint, not the school. Three things come to mind: called by God, leadership and fire.  Think of Saint Joan of Arc for a moment…the school, not the saint.  And you will find a group of people who are called by God to be leaders in their community. And, if you stand close enough, you will catch their fire!

Our educators are on fire with a passion for learning and our students become “fired up!”  We spark their interest in the classroom, and in extra-curricular activities.  Our parents are ablaze with school spirit…they are involved and supportive.  And our students have gone on to be doctors, service men and women, attorneys, nurses, dentists, moms, dads and productive human beings who are grateful for the SJA roots.

Those who come to our website are usually looking  for a school for their children. In SJA you have found a K – 8 Co-educational Roman Catholic School nestled in a residential area of Harford County, MD. We are the closest Catholic School to Aberdeen Proving Ground and are located in the Aberdeen area. We are one of only two Catholic Elementary Schools from the Archdiocese of Baltimore in the county.

We are on fire…and we are warm!  Our families are diverse and although many are from the area, many others have lived throughout the country and other parts of the world. No matter where you are from, we strive to create a warm, family atmosphere where faith is strengthened, children are known, families are supported, service to others integrated, friendships celebrated and educational excellence fostered.
