Tuition Assistance

Tuition Assistance Information Helping you afford St. Joan of Arc School Tuition assistance is available to all of our school families regardless of parish affiliation or religion. Awards are based on need alone. There is no specific income cut-off to determine eligibility. In keeping with the mission of SJA School, we consider the financial circumstances of each applicant individually.

Application Process:

• Returning families may call the school office at 410-272-1387 to receive a Tuition Assistance Application Form. New families are eligible to apply once the student has been accepted. Contact the school office for a School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) form and application instructions. Or you may use PFS Online at www.nais.org/financialaid/sss.

• Your completed application is to be sent to SSS in Princeton NJ with a check for the required processing fee.

• SSS will send a financial analysis to the school principal. The principal meets with a small committee who has access only to financial information without any family names.

• The committee makes recommendations for assistance amounts to the Pastor of St. Joan of Arc Parish. After Pastor approval the principal sends written confirmation to each family.

 • All information on your financial aid forms will be held in strictest confidence.

• Financial aid is granted with the understanding that, if your ability to pay tuition improves after aid has already been awarded, you will notify the principal and assume responsibility for a greater part of your tuition. In the event that your situation should change and you need more assistance as a result, you may request additional funds as well.
