The Home School Association (HSA) holds fundraising events throughout the school year to support St. Joan of Arc School in maintaining its 54 year tradition of educational excellence. Tuition only covers 85% of the school's operating budget. Therefore, fundraisers play an essential role in supporting the school. All the proceeds from the fundraisers go directly to the school's operating budget or are earmarked for certain programs. While each event helps support St. Joan of Arc School financially, each event also serves to connect the St. Joan of Arc School family with the local community and helps build a partnership.  Here are a few of the fundraisers we hold each year.

Market Day

Market Day is a monthly food program which offers an assortment of more than 150 quality, convenient and nutritious foods for your family.  There is a wide selection of quality foods including kid friendly snacks, quick cook entrées and sides, indulgent desserts, and the Taste for Health® selections of all natural, low fat foods.  Orders can be placed on the internet at www.marketday.com

or fill out the paper form and drop it off at the school office.  If you order on-line, our school account number is 11418. Your order will be available for pickup once a month (September-June) in the church hall.  St. Joan of Arc School earns between 10%-20% each month based on the size of the entire order.

Night at the Races

Each year, the St. Joan of Arc School community and local businesses come together for our annual Night at the Races. Come and enjoy a night with great food and exciting races while helping to support St. Joan of Arc School. All money raised goes to the school's growing technology needs. School families and local businesses can support this event by being a race sponsor for $500 or a horse sponsor for $100 or 3 horses for $250.  Our 5^th Annual Night at the Races is scheduled for April 25, 2009 at Level Fire Company.

Magazine Drive

Each fall, St. Joan of Arc School holds a two-week magazine drive.  Everyone gets magazines delivered to their homes.  The magazine drive is a great fundraiser for families to support without buying things you do not need.   St. Joan of Arc School earns 40% of all magazines sold.  Orders can be done on-line at QSP.com or handed into school during the magazine drive.  Our school account number is 425055189. All monies raised goes to the school's operating budget.  In addition, students win prizes based on number of magazines sold.

Tuesday Night Bingo

Join us on Tuesday evenings in the church hall for bingo. Early bird starts at 6:00 PM and regular bingo begins at 7:00 PM.  We serve delicious dinner, desserts and a variety of soft drinks.  Proceeds from weekly bingo go to the school's operating budget.

Box Tops for Education

Please save the Box Tops for Education. Cut our the qualifying box tops from participating General Mills items which include the following brands….all Betty Crocker baking items, Bisquick, Gold Medal Flour, Cereal, Fruit Snacks, Hamburger Helper, Potatoes, Yoplait Yogurt, Lloyd’s Barbeque, Progresso Soup, Old El Paso, Create a Meal, Green Giant canned and frozen items, Pillsbury Grands, Biscuits, Crescent rolls, etc. This program runs all year long. Send in box tops to school. Each label is worth 5¢. Box Tops for Education sends St. Joan of Arc School a check for our total for the year.

Campbell's Soup Labels for Education

Please save all Campbell Soup labels.  Each label is worth 1¢.  With Campbell's Soup, schools can select items from their catalog. Our goal is to save 56,200 labels.  We are savings for 5 DVD/VCR Combination Decks at 8000 points each and 6 Digital cameras for classroom and yearbook use at 16,200.  In addition to Campbell's Soup, the UPC codes for Pepperidge Farm, Swanson, SpaghettiO's, Prego, and Franco-American products are part of the Labels for Education.  The caps from the V-8 juice bottles are also acceptable.

Super Fresh – Go for the Green
 

Collect grocery store receipts from Super Fresh. The bottom of the receipt is the Go for the Green section, which includes those words, the dollars spent, and the date. Our school receives 1% of the grocery total found on the receipt. This is a year round program. Please send in your receipts.

Giant A+ Bonus Bucks Program
 

Sign up for a Bonus Card by filling out an application at a Giant store or go online to www.giantfood.com. After signing up for the card, fill out a school designation form. Our school’s identification number is 0928 St Joan of Arch School. When shopping at Giant, your Bonus Card generates A+ Bonus Bucks. SJA receives a percentage of the total dollars spent by all schools.

Safeway Club Card for Education
 

Sign up for a Safeway Club Card at your Safeway store or online at http://www.safeway.com/ifl/grocery/card-programs. Designate our school #3068 St Joan of Arc School. The dollar amount spent is credited to our account and SJA receives school equipment based on the tape values at the end of the program.
