Referral Process for Testing
If a child is not progressing academically, the school may ask the parents to initiate the testing process to request professional assistance from the local public school system or the private sector. The school contact for both the Public School IEP meetings and the private sector is the assistant principal. The assistant principal will arrange to have statements from teachers, academic records, standardized testing scores (if available) and work samples available for you. Classroom teachers may be available to attend IEP meetings. The information obtained from the testing will be used to create an accommodation plan that will meet the needs of your child. In order to facilitate the process, parents should inform the school administration prior to initiating the testing process. |
