Happy New Year - 2009! We made it to a new year!!!!!!

Hope everyone enjoyed the Christmas holidays! Back to work!

We will begin using our Spotlight books. Each week your child will get a set of three books to read, Monday - Wednesday. Please send the books back to school Thursday, so I can prepare the books for next week. Leave the books in the ziplock bag while not in use. You may leave them in the bookbag each day so they will be ready to be returned. Let this be a fun time to spend with your child reading. They should recognize some words and help them sound out words, they do not know. They will use the pictures to help with reading. This is all a part of the reading process. Thank you for your help with this at home, reading project.

The students are reading, printing, making sentences, illustrating so neatly and well! In Math we will be working on fractions, geometry and probability.
