 Tumblebooks are stories online to read along and play with.  

 

Go to Harford County Public Library website (HCPLonline.com) and click on kids in the upper right corner.  You'll see Tumblebooks which are stories online that students can listen to, read along and do activities or games that go along with the story. 

 

VOCABULARY IMPROVEMENT:  pick a color level and play some games to improve vocabulary development!

 IDEAS FOR PARENTS FOR SUMMER TIME.  This link has a lot of great games for reading that you can do with your child at home this summer.  Some of the ideas might need to be adapted for one to two person use as some of them are described for class use, but they are great ideas.  Take a look, read through and pick out a few to try with your child.  It could make all the difference in having a great start in third grade!
